I have stage designed for over thirty-five years. And it has been quite the ride. Some of my work has been traditional. Other projects, particularly those with dance and childeren’s theatre, have been wild aventures. What I’ve loved most about stage is the collaborative process. When it is best, designers, directors/choreographers, performers and stage artisans riff off of each other’s creativity and energy. In other words, we are transformed during the process of making art.
