About

What is it about living and making art in the North?

Visual artist and theatre artist, Linda Leon, has lived in Whitehorse for fifteen years. She finds inspiration in the natural world. She usually works in two dimensions using oil, acrylic, watercolour, pastel and charcoal drawings. Currently she has been exploring the cosmos. When provoked, she indulges in satire.

A graduate from University of Manitoba, School of Fine Art, Linda maintained an art practice in spite of a busy thirty-five-year career as stage designer throughout Western Canada. Her art has been shown at Northern Front Gallery, Art House in Carcross, Arts Underground and Yukon Artists at Work Gallery where she is a member.  She is also a member of Associated Designers of Canada.
